Case narrative

Biography

Kyne being tackled to the ground by the police.

Kyne informed the decoy that he was seeking a relationship rather than a hookup. He reminded the teenager that it was the guy he was interested in and that age did not matter. Later, Kyne asked the boy other explicit questions, such as whether he had ever engaged in sex with a man and whether he desired oral sex.

Aftermath

After his arrest, Kyne was held on $100,000 bond. He was charged and convicted of a federal felony count of Interstate Travel To Engage In Sexual Assault Of A Minor. He was sentenced to forty-six months in federal prison for crossing state lines, twenty years of supervised release, and lifetime registration as a sex offender.
