He acknowledged not having any condoms and not having brought any, but he had alcohol, lubrication, and a camera. Unlike many other suspects, Forte didn't try to blame the boy, claiming he was the adult and, even if the decoy kept calling him to make sure he was coming, he should've known better and turned not come to the sting house. When Chris reveals who he is and that the conversation is being recorded, Forte becomes defensive.

Chris sidestepped the topic and gave him a business card while pointing out that Forte was the one who came to the house, obviously prepared to have sex with a child when he asked if they would reveal his "face and everything."

After walking out of the house, Forte was arrested by police. He was brought to the make-shift outdoor booking station where he sat next to another predator, Abraham Koujababian , while waiting to speak with detectives. On the table, there are lube and condoms seen. When asked by detectives if he had ever had sex with men before, he replied, "It happens," in accordance with what he had previously told Chris Hansen about meeting men online for sex but "never minors." He would become concerned about his wife learning that he was bisexual.

Even though only a small portion of his interview was shown on the broadcast, two versions of Forte's full uncut interview would be released as bonus content, one with full editing and the other with no editing. It is presumed he was supposed to be fully profiled and featured in the Riverside episode but was cut down for timing reasons. Chris said in a podcast he does not believe anyone would want to see Roberto's profile picture in 2024, arguing he was too old and not young or attractive enough for that. Chris in the same podcast admitted he did not know if Roberto was actually from Italy or not, but his accent and name seem to confirm it.
