Biography
Paul Constantinescu was born on October 7, 1965, in Cleveland, Ohio. They became well-known in the metal scene and gave several local venues performances. At the Suma Recording facility in Painesville, Ohio, they produced their demo tape in 1984. Up to the beginning of 1985, the group continued to perform. Saber proceeded to California and continued to play there until 1990 after Reeves relocated to Phoenix.
Sting
Paul was confronted by Chris Hansen as he entered through the rear door. When Chris mentioned that he had the logs and started reading them, Paul said he was at the wrong place and fled. He was then arrested and processed by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office
Aftermath
Paul was charged with attempted lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age and attempted oral copulation with a minor under 14 years of age by force or fear, both felonies. His bail was set at $50,000. Paul tried to fight his case for four years before ultimately pleading guilty on December 14, 2009, to both felony charges. He was sentenced to three months in jail, three years of probation, lifetime registration as a sex offender, and had to pay fees and fines. His sentence was extended through February 2010 and finished in April.
Paul's conviction caused him to have paranoid delusions. He maintained that he had a sexual conversation with the twenty-four-year-old before backing off from the child.
Aftermath
Stratton was never able to recover from her drug addiction and died on February 4, 2017, at the age of 29 from an overdose. Paul had eluded capture in Ohio and was still wanted by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office. He would eventually be found and ordered to register again. In January 2023, Paul moved out of California and is now a registered sex offender in Florida.
He claimed that Paul would have no reason not to speak with Hansen for a potential interview on his Predators I've Caught podcast, although he has not gotten back in touch with Joey since the call.
Trivia
Paul's uncut interview may have never been released on the MSNBC subscription service, as no dead MSNBC page or text internet archive data suggests that it was.
