Case narrative
Sting
When he got to the trap house, he put on his best American accent to try acting suave around the decoy. The decoy then asks Paul to pour them some drinks as she gets ready. However, when he goes to do this, he sees two drinks already poured on the counter and anxiety shows in his face perhaps because he just figured out what was going on.
Soon after, Chris Hansen walked in. He immediately hid his face (with a “No Fear” t-shirt, ironically) and started saying, “Sir, Please!”. Hansen would go in hard on Clemente with the snarkiness. When Paul claimed he wasn’t a natural predator, Hansen replied, “So you’re just a pretend predator?” When Paul said he just came because he was curious, Hansen called him “a curious predator.” Chris then told him that Paul probably had done things like that before. Nearly every predator told him it was their first time. Chris then asked Paul if he had seen the show before, and he said yes. After the savagery was over, Hansen mercifully let Paul leave, and Paul simultaneously said he was sorry.
Not one second after he came out of the house, he proclaimed, “I'm not a criminal, sir!” to the officers closing in on his position. They told Paul to get on his knees in front of the sting house. The officer handcuffed Paul (who claimed he was not resisting) and he was arrested.
Aftermath
Like all the other men caught in the sting, Clemente received "The Long Beach Special": sixty days suspended sentence, three years probation, and a lifetime place on the registered sex offender list. Rather than have to deal with RSO restrictions, Paul married a girl who he brought over from the Philippines and wound up moving back with her.
In 2022, Hansen claimed in a Predators I've Caught podcast that, as far as he could tell, Paul turned his whole life around and has not reoffended. According to Hansen, Paul was not deported, but rather went back to the Phillipines willingly.
2024 update
In 2024, The Skip Tracer launched an investigation alongside Nasty Nathaniel to track Paul down in the Philippines. While they were ultimately unable to do so, he suspiciously left his place of work shortly after one of his co-workers was asked if they knew where he was by a private investigator hired by Skip and Nathaniel. They managed to track down Paul's house using the private investigator, but an older woman claimed he wasn't home. He politely asked them not to contact him again and blocked Skip Tracer. While The Skip Tracer left a message at the end of the video telling Paul they would still be open to interviewing him if he changed his mind, he and Nasty Nathaniel obliged, effectively ending Paul's story in the TCaP community.
Trivia
Two different versions of Paul's uncut interview were leaked from the MSNBC subscription service, but it still need to be completed, missing certain parts that were shown in the broadcast version. An edit utilising the uncut footage and televised segment exists to try and recreate the encounter as much as possible, but the exact order in which the whole conversation took place is still unknown.
