He unlawfully immigrated to the United States from Mexico sometime around 2019.

When Juarez arrived at the house, the decoy tried to initiate several conversations with him. However, due to his lackluster English skills, Juarez never said a word to her, instead choosing to stare at her awkwardly. When asked why he came to the house, Juarez told Chris that it was to work on the roof. Juarez denying having any intention of having sex with the minor girl. In response to this story, Chris asked Juarez how to say "bullsh**" in Spanish. Chris' questions largely went unanswered due to the language barrier. Because Juarez appeared to understand more English during the phone call, Chris suggested that Juarez was purposefully not understanding what was asked during the interview.

The language barrier prompted Juarez to call his employer to translate for him. Juarez's employer was upset upon learning that Juarez was caught in a Chris Hansen investigation. Although he said Juarez was a good worker, the employer noted that Juarez would likely not be able to retain his job following the incident. The employer expressed concern about the van that Juarez drove to the sting house, saying that he needed it for work the next day.

Child Sexually Abusive Activity Accosting a Child for Immoral Purposes Using a Computer to Commit a Crime

In a plea agreement, Juarez pled guilty to Accosting a Child for Immoral Purposes and Using a Computer to Commit a Crime, in exchange for the other charge being dropped. He was sentenced on September 23, 2024 to no additional jail time (having spent 109 days in custody) and 60 months of probation, as well as registration on a sex offender list for 25 years. On October 7, 2024, his probation was discharged and he is not found on the Michigan Sex Offender Registry. This indicates that Juarez was likely deported following his sentencing, as discharge from probation is common among those deported.
