Sting
Jenkins arrived at the mobile home trailer park that was used for the sting and was quickly pulled from his car and arrested. Jenkins arrived to the sting wearing a t-shirt with 1990s and early 2000s Cartoon Network characters on it, similar to this one. Jenkins was transported to the Polk County Jail where Chris Hansen began to interview him.
During the interview, Jenkins admitted that he did have a sexual conversation and knew that it was inappropriate. When asked why he communicated with a fifteen-year-old girl, Jenkins stated that he was originally uncomfortable with her age. However, as they kept talking he was "reeled back in" in a "heat of the moment type thing." He claimed that he did not know why he went through with it, but said that he probably would have been too nervous to actually do anything physical with the girl had it not been a sting. He denied ever meeting up with an underage person for sex in the past.
When Chris revealed who he was, Jenkins said that he knew and had seen Chris' shows before. He said that the predators on Chris' shows were wrong and, therefore, he was also wrong. When asked what should happen to him, Jenkins stated that he did not want anything to happen but agreed that it was too late to have nothing happen.
The Takedown episode then shows a montage of Jenkins describing his entire life story, cutting between shots and skipping much of the details. Jenkins denied wanting to have sex with the decoy and further denied wanting the decoy to perform any sexual acts on him. Jenkins explained that he dealt with anxiety during sex and when "entering a woman." This anxiety caused him to deal with erectile issues, something that had been "plaguing" him for a while and causing him to have incomplete sex with other adult women. Those erectile issues would have made sex with the decoy difficult, which was Jenkins' evidence that he did not intend to have sex with the minor.

As of September, 2025, Jenkins' case was still ongoing after two years. On April 1st, 2026, he pleaded guilty to all three charges. He was sentenced to two years of probation and required to register as a sex offender for nine years, making him the only predator caught in Operation Cyber Guardian II not to receive prison time.
