Case narrative
Sting
Uson went to the trap house with lunch (a quesadilla from Taco Bell) and condoms. Rochelle met him in the backyard and went to start the jacuzzi, which Manuel was staring at when Chris Hansen emerged to confront him. Uson tried to shift some of the blame onto the decoy for asking him. Uson was then informed of what he had walked into (Dateline NBC) and left the backyard. Uson walked into the garage and was immediately arrested.
Arrest and Police interview
Uson was more upfront with the investigators about his intent but tried to blame his wife for being so demanding and arguing with him. He then tried to bargain with the investigators, demanding and implying that he wanted to go undercover to help them catch other predators so they would take it easy on him, but they weren't going for it. He was charged with Attempted Lewd or Lascivious Acts With a Minor Under 14
Uson would plead guilty to the felony; he received ninety days in jail with three years probation and lifetime status as a registered sex offender.
2024 update
In his Predators I've Caught podcast, Hansen confirmed Uson was deported back to the Philippines as a result of his conviction.
