Case narrative
Biography
Loren was thirty-four years old, highly educated, and had a master's degree. He was a software engineer and mathematician in San Diego, California. He also received security clearance from the United States government and was a Department of Defense contractor.
Sting
When he shows up, he never goes inside and does not get to meet Chris Hansen . Loren instead goes down the street, and police arrest him in a park down the street from the sting house. He told them he was a software engineer. During a police search, Loren pulled a nine-inch dildo from his pants and threw it on the table in front of investigators. Police then charged Loren with Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child Under Fourteen and a count of Sending Harmful Matter to a Minor.
Aftermath
Loren pleaded guilty to both felonies. Like many potential predators caught in Long Beach, he received three years probation, 60 hours of community service, and RSO Status.
In 2024, Chris dedicated an episode of Predators I've Caught to Loren. Chris said Loren seemed to never get into trouble after the sting. He confirmed Loren had a new job, although he never specified what the job was. According to Chris, it does not require a High Clearance check, indicating a significant downgrade from being a former government contractor. He also currently has a webpage which confirms he is now a web designer.
