Leo Cintron

Cintron lived in Lakeland, Polk County, Florida, and was twenty-five years old at the time of the sting.

When Cintron arrived, officers arrested him immediately. Like with previous Florida investigations, the Police knocked Cintron to the ground since, in Florida, it is relatively easy to get a handgun. Investigators then interview him, although his Police interview has yet to be released.

He was then brought to the booking station, where Chris Hansen came inside to interview him. Cintron did not answer the question entirely but alluded to the fact he was sometimes on television and radio. Hansen asked him, “Well, help me understand why you would do this with a young boy.” Cintron argued that he smoked a bowl, and he thought it was a setup because there was no picture on Grindr. He claimed this was the first time he talked to someone underage. Cintron then said he was pissed off at himself. Hansen then asked Cintron what would have happened if there had been no police there. Cintron then claimed nothing would have happened. He told Hansen his whole life was over, and he would lose his job. Hansen then asked where his urge came from, but Cintron said he was still determining. Cintron then admitted to talking to a sixteen-year-old boy before but blocked him. Hansen then revealed who he was, but Cintron already knew Hansen. Hansen then asked him what should happen to him, and he said nothing since he had done nothing. But Hansen then reminded him that he had broken the law. Cintron then starts sobbing and begs for a second chance. He then claimed it was the first time he had come to meet someone underage, but Hansen claimed he heard that a lot. Cintron then said he knew that already.
