Case narrative

Sting and arrest

When the time came, Saintil drove for an hour and thirty-seven minutes to the sting house. When he arrived, however, Chris Hansen was in the middle of interviewing another predator, Dwayne Chisholm . After catching a glimpse of the operation taking place, Saintil took off, only for Frag to alert the police, who pulled him over and took him into custody.

Aftermath

Second Degree Attempted Sexual Assault Luring/Enticing of a Child Promoting Obscene Material to a Minor

Saintil pled guilty to the first charge in exchange for the other two being dropped, he received lifetime parole and lifetime sex offender registration.

Trivia

A Jean Erick Saintil can be found on the Florida Sex Offender Registry, although this is not the same man. He was convicted in Florida (not New Jersey) in 2011 (not 2007), is older than Saintil, and is listed as having been deported in 2017. New Jersey criminal records give Saintil's birthdate as October 3rd, but his arrest report gives his birthdate as October 31st, it is unknown which one is correct.
