Biography
Hence, the dump truck. They lived together in West Branch, Michigan.
Sting
Dings arrived to the sting house by dump truck, backing it into the driveway while neighbors across the street watched. He entered the house and gave the decoy the Faygo Rock & Rye soda that she requested. When the decoy left, Dings walked around complementing the house. Chris Hansen emerged and told Dings to sit at the island table. Dings initially refused and tried to walk around Chris, starting to say "okay, but that girl..." before eventually sitting down.
Chris Hansen started the conversation by saying, "What kind of a load are you planning on dumping tonight?" This was both a reference to sex and the dump truck that Dings arrived in. Dings defensively stated that he is not planning on dumping a load. The story that he told was that the decoy contacted him and asked him to bring her a soda, which was the only reason he was there. At that time, he noticed a deputy around the corner and asked if he was in trouble.
Dings believed that the reaction to his actions was inappropriate, stating, "I'm in a room with what appears to be nine people and I brought a girl a pop." Chris then told Dings that there was good and bad news. The good being that he could rest easy knowing that he would not be on the show Cops. The bad news was that he would be on Chris Hansen's show. Dings argued, saying that the believed the situation to have been presented to him in a "very falsified matter."
Once told that he would likely be going to jail, Dings became saddened at the possibility that his life was over. Chris continued his questions while a sheriff's deputy tried to remove a bottle on the table, not realizing that it was a microphone and pulling the cord and equipment onto the ground. Dings refused to answer further questions but denied doing anything illegal.
