Reviewed sting-related legal outcome. Article also describes release after serving a full sentence; without an order, preserve the stated minimum/maximum and do not infer a Georgia split sentence or calculate total confinement.
Supervision proceedingUnverified
Community account attributes a 2009 probation revocation to Hansen. It expressly speculates about registration reporting and does not establish an imposed prison term; no separate failure-to-register conviction inferred.

Case narrative
Arrest
George would travel two hours to the sting house with condoms, porn, and lubricant, and he would pass it by three times to look around. After seeing Gerald White being arrested outside by the Harris County Sheriff's Department for the third time, he fled to the highway to try to make good on his escape. During the attempt, he was stopped and taken into custody.
Cleary acknowledged bringing condoms during his police interview but claimed the decoy requested him to. The investigator then pulls out a bottle of lubricant. Additionally, Cleary acknowledged that the girl would be massaging him with the lubricant. Cleary and fellow sex predator William Rowell were the only two men that failed to make bond.
Aftermath
Cleary was found guilty of a felony count of criminal attempt to commit child molestation. He was sentenced to ten years in prison with a minimum of two years to serve, ten years of probation, and lifetime registration as a sex offender. Cleary was released from prison on July 25, 2008, after serving his full sentence.
According to Chris on his Predators I've Caught podcast, in 2009, Cleary was in violation of his sex offender status, likely meaning he didn't report properly. His probation was revoked that same year but it is unclear if he went back to prison or not.
