Biography
Edward Hollingsworth V was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, on January 19, 1971. Traveling, driving, and flying were his three great loves. He loved computers and had knowledge software because he also had an affinity for math. The Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Indians were two of his favorite teams. He lived alone with his cat.
Sting and arrest
35-year-old Hollingsworth struck up a conversation with a Perverted Justice decoy who was impersonating a thirteen-year-old boy named "Kyle". The two then set up a meeting.
Chris Hansen was confronting assistant district attorney Louis Conradt in another county and was not able to speak with Hollingsworth at the sting house. Dan Schrack , the decoy playing the boy, invites Hollingsworth inside before immediately locking the door. When Hollingsworth gets to the door, he asks Dan why he locked it. A group of police officers suddenly entered the scene and yelled at him to get on the ground. Hollingsworth made a futile attempt to sit on the ground, so the police had to tackle him onto the lawn and arrest him.
Police interview
To be questioned, Hollingsworth is taken to a police station. When speaking with the decoy, Hollingsworth claims he wasn't thinking about having sex.
He then admits he knew the boy was thirteen and asked him if he was a police officer.
Death
He later died on June 12, 2012, at the age of 41 after battling Pneumonia for two weeks at Ashtabula General Hospital.
