Aftermath
After being arrested, Dennis admitted to authorities that he understood what he had done was unlawful but that it had been a while since he had sex. He declared to the police that he would not have done anything if they hadn't been present to stop him.
During the course of his case's judicial proceedings, Dennis and his attorney asserted in the early months of 2008 that he had amnesia and was unable to recall anything that had happened before December 2007, including the charges made against him in 2006. Additionally, they stated that he had a dissociative disorder diagnosis and had to undergo a medical evaluation to see whether he was able to stand trial. He was found competent and went to trial in March 2009. Dennis was found guilty of a felony count of attempted lewd and lascivious battery with a victim 12-15 years old. He was sentenced to 1 year and 9 months in prison and lifetime registration as a sex offender. He filed an appeal against the jury's ruling, but the higher court upheld it in 2010.
Trivia
During his incarceration, Dennis gave information about other motorcycle gang members and was put in a witness protection program.
