Case narrative

Biography

According to public voter records, Hall voted in the 2024 election.

Sting

Hall arrived to the hotel and went to the sting room door, further than he went last time. He attempted to escape down the hallway but was taken to the floor by deputies under taser-point. Hall told deputies while being led back into the room that he "wasn't going to." Police interviewed Hall first, then Chris Hansen came out to interview him more. Hall initially refused to speak to Chris. He objected to the interview because Chris was not a police officer and begged deputies to end it.

Hall claimed that he entered the hotel because the decoys called him in and that he was nervous and did not want to "let them down." Chris pushed back on that narrative, asking why Hall would invite the girls to his apartment if the only reason he showed up was to not let them down. Hall responded that he invited the girls to his apartment because he believed that it could have been a sting operation. When asked what he would have done with the two minor girls at his apartment, Hall responded, "I don't know." He then stated that he did not feel comfortable answering more questions in front of cameras.

Despite Hall feeling uncomfortable, he told Chris that he did not feel as though he had a problem with being attracted to minor girls. Hall stated that he took the chance on these two minor girls because he was "lonely." He also said that he was "too nervous" to go to bars or restaurants to meet other young people his age. Hall claimed that he showed up only to "see if it was legit." Chris asked him whether he fantasized about having sex with minor girls, to which Hall responded that he did. However, despite actually showing up and almost showing up a few months prior, Hall claimed that this fantasy was not something that he ever wanted to act on. Hall maintained that he did not intend to have oral sex with the girls.

Hall expressed concern that his arrest would ruin his plan for the rest of his day. His parents and family were planning to come visit him the next day and he needed to go to Sam's Club to buy jumbo packs of water bottles because he only owned a small Brita filter. After finishing his interview with Chris, wherein he expressed that he did not know who Chris was, deputies further interrogated him. Hall asked if the situation was just a prank, but after being told that it was not he begged to be allowed to go home.
