Case narrative

Biography

Cool has a criminal history consisting of drug possession and theft.

Sting

Cool arrived to the sting house and had a brief conversation with the decoy about the rain and cold weather. He told the decoy that the house being cold could be due to a "plethora of things" (which he pronounced pleh-thore-uh). Chris Hansen then emerged from the shadows asking Cool how he was doing. Cool, turning around shocked, responded, "Good, how are-are you Chris Hansen?" When Chris said that he was, Cool replied "No way! For real?" While being directed to have a seat, Cool stated that he had a bad feeling about coming to have sex with a minor and asked if he was going to jail.

Chris began by asking Cool why he was there. Cool stated that he was looking for a prostitute until he found the decoy's ad. He told Chris that once he found out the decoy's age, he "didn't even want to coooooooome." When asked why he didn't want to come, Cool told Chris that it was "super illegal." Cool stated that he had been messaging various ads all day and continuously refreshing the webpage until the decoy's ad came up. He claimed that he did this because of "boredom" and needing "something new to spice up the relationship." He admitted that he was a "piece of shit" for doing so. He also told Chris that he was originally planning on having sex with his forty-year-old coworker that day, but she had to meet with their boss, interrupting their plans and causing him to turn to prostitutes.

Cool did not deny coming to the house to have sex with a fifteen-year-old girl. He also acknowledged the severe psychological impact that statutory rape would have on a child. Cool stated that, "It depends on how it went." Chris asked him to clarify whether he would have had sex with the girl, to which Cool stated that it was a "coin toss." When Chris asked if he planned to have unprotected sex, Cool responded that he only has unprotected sex with his girlfriend and that he was hoping the minor girl would have condoms for him to use. This was a reasonable hope for him because every other prostitute he had met with provided the condoms for him to use.

When asked what should happen to him, Cool asked if he had even done anything illegal. When told that he had, Cool stated, "I can't afford this right now." He lamented the fact that he had too much work to do and would not have the time to complete it if he had to go to jail. Cool noted that he had a history of self-sabotage that various drug counselors and normal counselors could not help him with. Cool's message to other people like him was that "you don't need a kid . . ."". . .if there's enough older women out there."

Aftermath

After being arrested by deputies, Cool was taken into another room of the house and left there because another man was showing up. Cool was charged with:

Child Abusive Sexual Activity Accosting a Child for Immoral Purposes Using a Computer to Commit a Crime

Public court records have very few details, and it appears the case is still pending. There has not been any update since March of 2024, wherein a warrant was requested. It is unclear if Cool currently has an active warrant or not.
