Charles was charged with attempted lewd and lascivious battery and child exploitation. He took a long time to get through the system, having opted to go to trial. He realized the pointlessness of going to trial and pled guilty at the last minute. He was sentenced to five years probation and was ordered to register as a sex offender. In 2011, Charles was arrested again in a second sting. He was sentenced to five years in prison for solicitation of a child and another 5 years for violating his probation. Charles was granted parole on Christmas Eve, 2019, and has to register as a sex offender and remain on probation for life.
On his RSO page, a "Homemade Red 2002 2 door" car is listed, although the profile does not provide enough information to know if this is the same car he brought to the sting house.
