Case narrative

Sting and Aftermath

When Arturo arrived, he entered the home carrying fast food. He strikes up a conversation with eighteen-year-old Dani Miura , the decoy posing as the thirteen-year-old girl. She asked him to pour her a drink while she went to get ready. Arturo then exited the house after becoming frightened, with Dani failing to convince him to remain by asking if he wanted to get into the hot tub. Police intercepted him as he attempted to walk to his car. Taser guns pointing in his direction, Arturo, frozen in shock, shouted, "Oh, my God! NOOOOO!" He was swiftly arrested with no resistance and taken into custody.

Arturo was sentenced to what Perverted Justice called "The Long Beach Special"; three years of probation, sixty days of Caltrans cleanup, lifetime registration as a sex offender, and he must submit a DNA sample.
